With the popularity of text messaging exploding as a quick and easy way of communicating on-the-go, Sprint is providing its customers more ways than ever to use text services. Customers can now reach out to more friends and family than ever with the latest update - Text to Landline. Text to Landline lets customers send text messages to any landline phone in the United States, where they will then be converted to a voice message for the recipient. "As more and more people begin to rely on text, IM and chat services for quick communication, this offering is just one more way that Sprint is making sure our customers have a wide range of options to meet all their messaging needs." Text to Landline is available now to all Sprint customers with two-way text-messaging-capable phones. |
To use, customers simply enter a 10-digit landline phone number and type a message, just as they would when sending a regular text message. The recipient's phone will ring, and when answered, the text message will be automatically read to them. Recipients can reply with a preset text message response or by recording a voice response. Standard text-messaging rates apply.
