| After being mentioned a long time ago in a Cingular press release, together with Nokia's 6282 model, the LG CU500 has finally been approved by FCC (Federal Communication Commission). The LG CU500 is a slim clamshell with internal antenna, and features a 1.3 megapixels swiveling camera, plus a music dedicated key on the front cover. The clamshell is also have Bluetooth capabilities and a microSD card slot. Unfortunately most of the pages on the FCC site regarding the phone are still unavailable and do not show any information, except that it's a GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900), supports WCDMA 850/1900 (and probably 2100, which could turn the handset into a global 3G phone), and enables support for Cingular's HSDPA high speed data network up to 1.8Mbps. In addition, the phone features a 2 inch QCIF TFT LCD internal display and MicroSD expansion slot. As seen in the pictures the phone is targeted for Cingular, so we should expect it anytime soon from Cingular |
