CSR (of UK) today announced that it is now able to offer multi-microphone configuration for Bluetooth headsets via its partnership with Dynamic Hearing. Available on CSR's BlueCore-Multimedia platform, Dynamic Hearing's ATLAS software library suite has been expanded to incorporate a multi-microphone option, called VoiceField, bringing an extremely clean transmit signal in headset environments. VoiceField uses two microphones to capture the speech of the headset user before it is lost amongst competing noise sources. |
ATLAS with VoiceField is optimised for very low power requirements and very low signal latency on the CSR BlueCore Multimedia platform.
Combined with CSR's BlueCore-Multimedia, Dynamic Hearing's VoiceField multi-microphone technology is the latest addition to their ATLAS solution, which also includes acoustic echo suppression, automatic handsfree volume control and programmable equalisation in 33 frequency bands of both the transmitted and received audio signal. This enhanced solution provides industry-leading clear audio for headset applications.
CSR's BlueCore-Multimedia silicon provides best-in-class signal-to-noise ratio of 95dB and leads the field in power consumption, enabling a battery life of more than 24 hours of music playback. In addition, the radio transmits at +6.5dBm and receives at -90dBm, eliminating interference when listening to music or making a call.
