| Telexy Networks enables owners of advanced mobile handsets from Nokia, Samsung, LG and Motorola to create trusted wireless networks and share photos, data files and music wirelessly. Telexy Networks' SymSMB enables a mobile handset to securely share a folder over any available WiFi, Bluetooth or 3G network with any other mobile phone with security certification. Files to be shared can be put into this folder and downloaded to any mobile handset with a trusted file sharing connection. In addition, Telexy Networks SymSMB allows consumers who want to get photos, music or data files from their home PCs to connect over any WiFi or 3G network to download those files wirelessly to their mobile phones. And when a mobile handset gets too full of pictures or data, it can easily be uploaded to the PC to create space for more data. | ![]() |
Business users can use SymSMB to gain access to corporate LANs to download and work on presentations, spreadsheets or text documents. Corporate applications such as trouble-ticket, dispatch or CRM can also be accessed and updated, enabling remote field workers to use advanced mobile handset capabilities instead of cumbersome laptop computers to complete their work. SymSMB is available at http://www.telexy.com/Products/ProductInfo.aspx for EU $24.95 and supports any Symbian Series 60 mobile handset, Nokia Series 60 handset and Nokia E70, E90, N80, N91, N92, N93, N93i and N95 handsets. SymSMB 2.00 implements the common CIFS/SMB file sharing protocol on the Symbian platform. UIQ-3 handsets from Samsung, LG and Motorola support is expected by Q4 2007.
