My Dad’s provider, which is Just5, is also providing very competitive rates for their calling plan offers. When he gets the cheapest minute plan, he only spends as low as $3.33 a month. This plan already has 100 minutes and 50 text messages. The calling plan with the longest minutes only costs $10 a month and this already has 300 minutes call and 50 text messages. This provider also offers an unlimited service for 30 days for only $40 as well as rollover minutes, which is good for 90 days.

I have to agree with Julian Arch, the Senior Value Cellphone (SVC) with Tracfone is super affordable, starting at only $7 a month, and the phone has big numbers on the screen and its earing impared compatible. My grandpa loves it and it gave our family piece of mind because now he is connected and has an emergency private line to his family for a little amound a month.

This does seem like a good deal, when buying a cellphone for a grandparent or an ederly relative I believe it's also important to make sure the features of the phone meet their needs. I got my grandma a SVC with Tracfone, because she always complained she could not see the numbers on the screen and they have a samsung that has huge numbers on the screen and she loved it. The best part? I only paid $14.99 at Kmart for it.

Look out on this one!
The taxes and fees add up to over $80 per month.
There has to be a cheaper plan.
