Headaches & Sleeping Problems Linked to Cell Phone Usage

UK researchers claim they have linked the radiation emitted by cell phones to such symptoms as chronic headaches, sleeping problems and confusion.
(I can believe it! Whenever I use my cell phone for a few minutes I can feel a sensation for a few minutes in my head from the heat. As a result I normally use my speaker phone and really try to limit the amount of time the phone is next to my head.)

The UK study included 35 men and 35 women who found that using their cell phones before bed delayed and shortened the deep stages of sleep; the part of sleep that allows the brain and body to repair and rejuvenate from the day's wear and tear. In children and teens the study found that the sleep disturbances caused by the radiation can trigger depression, mood swings, ADHD-like symptoms and personality changes, and impair concentration and academic performance. Children and teens tend to use their phones late at night.

The study was sponsored by the Mobile Manufacturers Forum; an industry group representing the makers of cell phones and was conducted by scientists from the Karolinska Institute and Uppsala University in Sweden and from Wayne State University in Michigan, US.

Last September, UK's Mobile Telecommunications and Health Research (MTHR) Program published a report stating that after a six year study they found mobile phone usage have no association with any biological or adverse health effects.

If you ever studied statistics a sample size of at least 30 is a decent sample size.

I can't believe a study of a mere 70 people would actualy think it had scientific merits.The journalist who wrote this, including the bold headline are as irresponsible as the "scientists" involved in the study.
