Myxer Announces Mobile Music Toolkit for Indie Bands & Labels

Myxer, a free, ad-supported mobile content, today announced its Mobile Music Toolkit for Indie bands and labels. The Toolkit allows any band to share and promote their content to Myxer's audience of over 6 million college students and teenagers, as well as with the band's current fan base. Bands can share their songs, photos and videos with their fan's mobile phones as ringtones, wallpapers and mobile videos. - New MyxerTags. MyxerTags are the easiest way for a band to deliver ringtones and other mobile content directly from their own website, MySpace profile or blog. Bands can simply copy and paste html code from Myxer's website to their site. And since this html code is displayed on each ringtone page, fans can also easily post and share their favorite bands' ringtones on their own web pages. MyxerCodes.
- MyxerCodes are short, recognizable text message codes that give fans easy access to mobile content and artist information directly from their phones, or from the web. Artists and bands can create personalized MyxerCodes so fans and friends can text 'BandName' to MYXER or go directly to http://www.myxer.com/BandName.
- FanLists. Myxer's new and improved Fanlists (now with a very convenient way to join from one's mobile phone) are a great way for an audience to connect with their favorite bands. By joining a band's Fanlist, fans can get updated concert information, new releases, or other messages on their mobile phone.
- Pick of the Day. Every day Myxer chooses a piece of content from their catalog to be the Pick of the Day. The Pick of the Day is displayed on Myxer's front page and the exposure for the band chosen results in several thousand mobile downloads of their content that day.
- Sell Mobile Content. Bands can choose to give away their mobile content as part of their promotional efforts or set retail prices. Myxer provides instant access to detailed reports so bands can view their mobile download activity.
