Zeemote Develops Wireless Joystick for Cell Phone Games

March 19, 2008 6:52 PM | Gadgets | Comments (1)

Want a wireless joystick to play games on your cell phone?  Well some people decided to develop it and bring it to market.  This time it’s a company called "Zeemote". (See Video)

Zeemote, Inc. makes wireless controllers for mobile devices.   Their first product, the Zeemote JS1, is the first compact wireless thumb-stick for mobile gaming.  Zeemote was founded in 2005 by Beth Marcus, one of the inventors of the first force feedback joystick for PC gaming, and is based in Bedford, Massachusetts, USA.

The cell phone joystick measures a snug 95x35x20mm and weighs only 47g (including batteries). With a thumb toggle and multiple trigger buttons, the JS1 offers real analog control enabling users to truly engage with mobile games.

Zeemote controllers communicate with mobile phones via Bluetooth wireless technology.
