Atlanta based, Delta Air Lines has announced it will offer broadband wireless Internet access for a fee on its entire domestic fleet by mid next year. The No. 3 U.S. carrier has partnered with Aircell, an airborne communications provider, to install the network on Delta's domestic fleet of more than 330 aircraft. Delta passengers with Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as laptops, smartphones and PDAs, will be able to access the Internet while in flight. Delta will charge $9.95 on flights of three hours or less, and $12.95 on flights of more than three hours. Fort Worth based, American Airlines, will offer the same Wi-Fi service via Aircell later this year on 15 of its 767-200 aircraft. | ![]() |
