| Amazon.com has just released a Kindle 2 e-book reader for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch music players. This expands the market for its e-book outlet and gives Kindle readers another option for reading e-books. The free application is available on Apple’s App store, and allows readers to integrate e-books and bookmarks with their Kindle readers. This feature allows readers to continue reading e-books with their iPhone or Ipod even if the Kindle is not present. It also allows readers to read e-books purchased at Amazon’s Kindle Store without a Kindle reader, boosting the number of potential customers for e-books. The release of this Kindle application follows last weeks release of Amazon’s Kindle 2 reader. Kindle 2, like the original, allows users to download and purchase e-books from the Kindle Store. Users can also subscribe to Kindle versions of newspapers magazines, which are delivered wirelessly to the readers. | ![]() |
