It’s called a Mini Capsule microphone, and it works for the iPhone, iPod Touch 2G, iPod Nano 4G and the iPod Classic 120G. It allows you to record your voice, so you can make notes of things you need. The Nano and the Classic are pretty much plug and play, while others, like iPhone and iPod Touch, require recording software (iTalk Recorder or Easy Recorder) that you’ll need to download.
