Sprint Announces the SANYO Incognito SCP-6760

November 23, 2009 11:37 AM | Kyocera | Sanyo | Sprint Nextel | Comments (1)

Sprint recently announced the launch of the SANYO Incognito SCP-6760. Chock full of media and messaging features, Incognito features a high-gloss, Titanium Black mirrored external surface that jumps to life with the activation of the phone’s glow-through keypad and OLED external display.

Flipped open, the phone boasts a full QWERTY keyboard and a high-resolution 2.6” QVGA internal display. Optimized for Sprint’s high-speed EVDO network, Incognito will launch exclusively online Nov. 30, known as “Cyber Monday,” at www.sprint.com and in all Sprint retail channels beginning Dec. 6 at a budget-friendly price of $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year Service Agreement (all device prices exclude taxes).

At rest, Incognito is clean and elegant. Its glow-through keypad, however, is easily touch-activated and features vibrating “haptic” feedback as buttons are pressed, making it extremely user-friendly. With a 2.0 megapixel camera, advanced music and video features, and expandable microSDTM memory, Incognito offers speedy access to the Web, email and text messaging.

Mega-messengers and social networkers alike will want to take advantage of the device’s easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard and messaging features. Sprint offers affordable Everything Data plans, featuring Any Mobile, AnytimeSM, a feature that removes restrictive calling circles and provides unlimited nationwide calling on the Sprint network to and from any U.S. wireless phone regardless of carrier. These plans are available for individuals and families and include unlimited wireless calling (wireless to wireless), unlimited text and data starting at just $69.99 per month (all price plans exclude surcharges and taxes).

Sprint’s Simply EverythingSM plan offers nationwide unlimited calling, unlimited text and unlimited data, including email, social networking, Web browsing, Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, streaming music, NFL Mobile Live and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile, for only $99.99 per month (plus taxes and surcharges). That is a $1,200 savings over two years versus a comparable AT&T iPhone® plan1. Both Everything Data and Simply Everything plans are available to existing customers without extending their service agreements. New lines of service require a two-year service agreement.

Incognito includes popular media and messaging applications including Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter right from your Sprint® One Click carousel; Sprint Navigation’s voice and on-screen, turn-by-turn driving directions; Sprint NFL Mobile Live, NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile and real-time scores and statistics; and Sprint Mobile Email for access to AOL®, Yahoo®, WindowsLive, Gmail® and corporate email. Incognito supports AAC/AAC+/MP3/WMA music files and H.263/H.264/MPEG4/WMV video formats.

The Sprint Mobile Broadband Network (inclusive of data roaming) reaches more than 269 million people, 18,652 cities and 1,838 airports. The Sprint Networks (inclusive of data roaming) have twice the coverage of AT&T’s current 3G network and 14 times the coverage of T-Mobile’s current 3G network, both based on square miles2.

Incognito joins Kyocera’s SANYO SCP-3810, also launched this month, in Sprint’s compelling holiday handset lineup. With a translucent, hidden external caller-ID display, the SCP-3810 includes a 1.3 megapixel camera and a large, 2.4-inch high-resolution internal display with a convenient large-font option for better legibility. The handset is polished with a luxurious mirrored finish and is available in Regal Red or Black Onyx.

Sanyo SCP-6760 has a compass box design. The qwerty keyboard is the best feature which makes typing very comfortable. It has all basic features like camera, bluetooth, etc. The call quality is very satisfying. The phonebook can store upto 600 names. The speaker phone quality is pathetic. This phone is basically meant for businessmen than youths. Its good for messaging.
