Clearwire to Launch 4G Smartphone Later this Year

According to Clearwire CEO, William Morrow, the US-based WiMax network operator will launch the first 4G enabled dual mode smartphone in the second half of this year.

The 4G smartphone will enable users to download Web content up to 5X faster than 3G handsets and also make voice calls via Sprint Nextel's network. Sprint currently owns 56.5% of Clearwire.
