Google will be holding a press conference in January 5th at the Googleplex to officially announce their first cell phone, the Nexus One by HTC. The press conference entails a presentation, demo, and Q&A session expected to last about 3 hours. See demo video above of the Nexus One in action. |
- The handset will be sold by Google via the Web.
- Support for the device including troubleshooting and exchanges will be managed by Google and HTC.
- The handset will cost $179.99 with a 2 year T-Mobile contract for $79.99 per month.
- T-Mobile will offer service including billing, coverage, features and rate plans.
- An unlocked handset will cost $529.99.
