| Over at BillShrink.com they created a very usefull comparison chart of the iPhone, Droid, Palm Free and the new Nexus One. The chart compares the major features, price and usage plans of the smartphones. The least expensive phone when comparing price of the handset and different service plans is the Nexus One. See the chart below. |

Droid SUCKS.
No Bluetooth. Cheaper non-smart phones support bluetooth!
Limited memory = crappier, low quality apps/games. These things can be copied to the SD card. They can't RUN from the SD cards. And IF they ever allow this via encryption, they'll be SLOW. Why do so many people MISS this point?

You are getting seriously screwed in the US. In Sweden I pay $20.6 (149SEK) for an Internet connection per month and 1 cent per minute talk time (only when I call someone, nothing when someone call me) and 1 cent per sms (0.69SEK).

My 3G iPhone plan costs me $60 a month. That's for 450 minutes, 200SMS and unlimited data. Yes, yes, I know that's just like the old EDGE plan, but since I live in an area that has no 3G, that was the plan I got. And, yes, it gets 3G speeds when I am in a 3G area.
I would also mention that there are 3 types of multitasking.
1) the most important one is being able to take a voice call when you are doing anything else. The iPhone does this.
2) the second most important one is having core apps, those that come installed on the phone run at the same time. The iPhone does this.
3) the least important form of multitasking is having 3rd party apps run at the same time. The iPhone does not do this.
Also, the amount of storage that one can use for application storage is an important subset. For the iPhone, all the memory is available for app storage. That is NOT the case for Android phones. It can vary from 64MB to 256MB. A number of my apps require more than 100MB, including MYST, Brothers in Arms, Everest, aSleep, iLingual, Hero of Sparta. As you can see, many of the memory heavy apps are graphics heavy games. So, this memory limitation on the Android phones make them limited for games, in the sense you may only have one at a time loaded.

You also forgot an ease of use column. iPhone beats them all in that.

Moral of the story: the ONLY reason to buy a Droid phone is if you live in the US and have very, very poor ATT coverage in your area. That makes for a pretty miniscule target market.

iPhone multitask just fine. If you want to play that game, tell us why you can't load more than 200mb apps on it? hmmm

You forgot one important row. How many real people at Google waiting to talk to you on their techsupport hotline? Zero
