GeoVector Corporation, inventor and developer of mobile technology linking digital information with real-world places, has announced the availability of GeoVector World Surfer 2.0 for the iPhone. World Surfer 2 provides ease of use feature enhancements to GeoVector’s popular directional search and pointing application. |
Released initially for the iPhone platform, World Surfer 2 incorporates time saving, convenience features such as free text search and the ability to save favorite searches. GeoVector has also added camera view augmented reality to World Surfer 2 as a guidance enhancement to help users verify the distance, location and direction of their destinations.
GeoVector has been providing directionally filtered location browsers for mobile devices since 2006 and is dedicated to providing practical, useful augmented reality applications to consumers.
World Surfer users can quickly find retail spots, historical points of interest, clean restrooms, etc. and can bookmark their hotels or parking spots to return easily after a day’s exploring.
Augmented reality industry leader Gene Becker has called GeoVector’s World Surfer, the application that “most effectively handles local searches and provides the best walking directions.”
