TrustedOnes Launches App to Keep Track of Places Visited and Recommend to Friends

February 2, 2010 11:07 AM | Software | Comments (0)

TrustedOnes today announced the launch of the first destination for recommendations from people you trust. Available on the iPhone and all Google Android phones, TrustedOnes allows users to keep track of the places they visit, products they use, and businesses they frequent, to rate and share their experiences - good and bad - with the people they know and trust. TrustedOnes is also available on the Web at www.trustedones.com.  Above is a video of how to add notes of a place visited to the app.

According to the latest Nielsen Global Online Consumer Survey of over 25,000 Internet consumers from 50 countries, 90% of consumers trust recommendations from people they know.

“TrustedOnes was founded on the principle that personal recommendations carry more weight than any other type of referral,” said Arno Grbac, Founder and CEO, TrustedOnes. “Advertising, publicity, search engines and reviews from people we don’t know are interesting input but, when it comes down to decision-making, carry little weight.”

TrustedOnes learns from the experiences, questions and answers contributed by each individual member of a trusted group, and distributes that knowledge to the other members in the group. Unlike open or anonymous topical review sites dedicated to travel or restaurants, TrustedOnes allows users to define their own areas of interest and dictate their personal sphere of influence.

TrustedOnes is fully integrated with Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites, allowing users to easily tap into existing friends networks. Users can write a personal “note” from their phone or the trustedones.com website, and have it instantly appear on Twitter or Facebook news feed. TrustedOnes’ unique Social IQ selector gives users the ability to filter information according to the degrees of separation from the source, virtually eliminating spam.
