HTC EVO 4G LTE from Sprint to Receive HTC Sense 4+ w/Android Jelly Bean Upgrade

HTC EVO 4G LTE, available exclusively from Sprint, the latest evolution of the award-winning HTC EVO family, will soon receive an exciting update. Originally available with HTC Sense 4 and Android Ice Cream Sandwich, HTC EVO 4G LTE will be upgraded to HTC Sense 4+ with Android Jelly Bean.
Jelly Bean Upgrade
HTC EVO 4G LTE customers will be able to upgrade to Sense 4+ with Android Jelly Bean (4.1.1.) via manual download starting today. It will be pushed to customers through the next several weeks as an over-the-air update. HTC Sense 4+ provides improved camera capabilities, including Auto Portrait, Sightseeing Mode and the ability to display photos and video albums according to when and where they were taken. Sense 4+ also introduces a new Tap and Go function that allows customers to connect the phone to select Beats Audio speakers when 'tapped' together. Android Jelly Bean is the fastest and smoothest version of Android to date and includes Google Now.
How to install the software
For those who just can’t wait to get Android 4.1, there will be an easy user initiated option to download the upgrade starting today. To access the update – from the home screen access Settings > System Updates > HTC software update > Check now.

Additional features include:
- Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, which allows the device to read information from everyday objects, like stickers and posters embedded with NFC chips
- Google Wallet enables the phone to be used like a wallet to make safe, secure purchases at hundreds of thousands of participating retailers using NFC
- Android Beam allows users to quickly share Web pages, apps and YouTube videos with friends using NFC by simply tapping phones together
