Lingerie Football League Launches App for iPhone / iPod

September 3, 2009 10:51 AM | Apple | Software | Comments (0)

Lingerie Football League is changing the game, both on the field and in the App Store, with the launch of the new Lingerie Football League app. Last year, 52 million people watched the Lingerie Bowl instead of the Super Bowl half-time show. If those numbers are any indication, the new Lingerie Football League app could be one of the hottest new apps in the App Store.

Building on that popularity, the Lingerie Football League (LFL) kicks off its inaugural season Friday September 4, 2009 at the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago, as the Miami Caliente and Chicago Bliss take to the field in the skimpiest of uniforms to play 7-on-7 tackle football.

Featuring sexy women in lingerie playing full contact football, LFL gives sports fans a new entertainment option on Friday nights, and a hot new app for their iPhone or iPod Touch. Fans who don't have an iPhone or iPod Touch can subscribe to the LFL Mobile site by texting "LFL" to 87873.

August 21, 2009 8:49 PM | Smartphone | Comments (1)

Yulong, a mainland Chinese supplier of high-end smartphones, announced today the launch of its 3G mobile phone, the Coolpad N900. Just as Apple is about to reach an agreement on entering the China market through cooperation with China Unicom, the new Coolpad N900 looms over the sales prospects of the iPhone 3G by winning itself the title "iPhone Killer".

The Coolpad N900, with CDMA2000/GSM featuring dual sim dual stand technology combines the stylish UI interface of iPhone's 3D Touch and is designed according to the usage habits of Chinese customers. As a 3G product promoted by China Telecom and a bestseller in China, the model is especially favored by the Chinese business elite.

According to a report by Ovum, a telecommunication consulting agency, although Apple's iPhone has not officially entered the China market, over one million iPhone handsets have already flowed into China through non-official channels. Besides its cool interface, Chinese consumers have not truly experienced the value-added services offered by iPhone; also, the different usage habits of Chinese and Western users have impeded the using experience of Chinese users.
