U.S. Cellular and Alltel Wireless have joined together to begin offering U Prepaid, a no contract wireless service, in select Walmart Stores, Inc. in local communities across 18 states beginning in May. The alliance, the first of its kind in the industry, offers customers flexible payment options without signing a contract.

Rogers announced that its Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless network, Canada's fastest and largest, is now available in more cities surrounding Montréal, including; Laval, Terrebonne, Brossard, Longueuil and Vaudreuil with plans to expand to more than 25 additional cities this year. This will bring LTE to more than half the Canadian population by the end of the year.
